A member of the Academy of Motion Pictures and Television Academy, Mohammed Ali (Mo) Naqvi produced two seasons of the Netflix Original Top 10 docu-series “Turning Point”. He received the inaugural Emmy Television Academy Honor for directing and producing Showtime Original “Shame”. He has been nominated for an Independent Spirit Award, a Cinema Eye Honor, and the UNESCO-FELLINI Prize. His portfolio includes productions for Showtime, HBO, MTV, CNN, Discovery, Starz, BBC, and Hulu. His films have been screened at a number of festivals including Toronto, Berlin, Busan, and Tribeca, and showcased at the Museum of Modern Art.
Other notable documentaries include his Emmy-nominated “Among the Believers” (PBS World), Emmy nominated “The Accused: Damned Or Devoted?” (BBC, Arte/ZDF, PBS World) winner of the Asian Media Award, UNAFF Grand Jury Winner “Pakistan’s Hidden Shame” (Channel 4 UK), and “Insha’Allah Democracy” (BBC, STARZ). Beyond non-fiction, Naqvi has produced fiction features including road-trip drama Big River (Official Selection: Berlin Film Festival) and comedy I Will Avenge You Iago, starring Giancarlo Esposito and Larry Pine. Originally from Karachi, Pakistan – Mo is currently the chairman of the Pakistan Academy Selection Committee which selects Pakistan’s official submission for the Academy Awards.

Aman played a pivotal role in launching Dawn News, Pakistan’s first English news channel and excelled as an Executive Producer at CNBC Pakistan, showcasing his ability to produce, innovate and lead in emerging media markets.
In the Asian film industry, Aman successfully oversaw the production and theatrical release of two feature films, highlighting his hands-on expertise in film production and distribution. Additionally, he has held advisory roles for major media clients such as Sony and Virgin while working at KPMG and Deloitte in London. His career is marked by business insight and practical execution, making him a versatile and influential figure in both television and film.
