Mohammed Ali (Mo) Naqvi is a director-producer and the founder of Modoxy Media, where he leads a slate of premium documentaries, series, and fiction features that combine cinematic craft with cultural impact. A member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Television Academy, Mo’s work spans festival favorites and global releases—including Netflix’s Turning Point (Top-10 global) and the Emmy-honored Showtime Original Shame—and has earned recognition from the Emmys, Independent Spirit Awards, Cinema Eye Honors, and the UNESCO-Fellini Prize.

His documentary work includes Among the Believers (PBS World), The Accused: Damned or Devoted? (BBC/Arte/ZDF/PBS World), Pakistan’s Hidden Shame (Channel 4 UK), and Insha’Allah Democracy (BBC/STARZ). In fiction, he has produced Big River (Official Selection: Berlin Film Festival) and I Will Avenge You Iago. His films have screened at Toronto, Berlin, Busan, and Tribeca, and been showcased at the Museum of Modern Art.

From his roots in Karachi to a career spanning the US, UK, and South Asia, Mo also serves the industry as a cultural strategist and curator. He chaired Pakistan’s Academy Awards Selection Committee (2023–2024) and is Artistic Director of the Tasveer Film Market, North America’s only Oscar-qualifying South Asian film market. Through Modoxy Media, Mo builds partnerships with broadcasters, streamers, and cultural institutions to elevate South Asian and diaspora voices—developing stories that are entertaining, globally resonant, and built for impact.

Bilal is a Pakistani American filmmaker and screenwriter with over two decades of experience in the film and television industry. His work spans producing, directing and writing films, documentaries and episodic television. As a producer, his most recent credits include the Disney+ / Hulu Top 10 documentary series ‘David Blaine – Do Not Attempt’ created by Imagine Entertainment, the Pakistani crime thriller ‘Laal Kabootar’ (The Red Pigeon) which was Pakistan’s submission to the 92nd Academy Awards, and the critically acclaimed feature ‘Dobara Phir Se’ (Deja Vu) which he also wrote. He also directed and produced the music documentary ‘Dhun’, featured at London’s Alchemy Festival at the Southbank Centre, London.

In collaboration with groundbreaking artist Rashid Rana, Sami created the public art project ‘Stories We Tell’ for the inaugural Lahore Biennale in 2016. After running his own boutique production company out of Lahore, he established the New Media and Syndication divisions of Middle Eastern media giant Geo Entertainment between 2018 and 2020, and has since been involved in projects across Pakistan, UAE, UK and the US.

With a lifelong passion for storytelling, Bilal has steadily built up experience writing, producing and directing film and TV on both sides of the Atlantic. He now lives and works out of Brooklyn.
